Sitting beside the peaceful evening waters of Lake Sunapee, I am absorbed by a light, a soft and beautiful light, casting a warm yellow glow on the tops of evergreen trees. Birds chirp and sing their sweet songs, lullabies for a passing day. A dragonfly glides by and dips its tail into the lake, creating tiny ripples with each stroke of its tail. These tiny ripples quickly fade into a sea of larger ripples that move on their own paths, forever expanding outward on the water’s surface. The most powerful of these ripples carry on; exerting their influence beyond the space and time in which they were created and changing the tides of so many others. Mom, the ripple you have created with your presence will continue to touch and change so many lives in profoundly positive ways. I am blessed to have had the joy of sharing this lifetime with you and will forever feel your magnitude in my heart, mind and soul. You are here with me, always. I love you.
