Progress: $106,000
As of 5/18/10, we have raised $106,000 in cash and pledges. We have met our goal for the purchase and installation of the equipment! However, we are still in need of additional funds to support a modest reserve fund for future repair and maintenance. There are also a few incremental costs that will be associated with signage and last minute additions as necessary. Our goal is to raise $115,000 by the inauguration date of July 25.
The Peirce family is thrilled that enough money has been raised to develop a playground in memory of our beloved Lynne Peirce, a.k.a. Nona. We are all so grateful for everyone’s hard work and contributions to this project and look forward to opening day with much anticipation. Nona would have been so touched to know that a playground is being built in her memory and that her grandchildren and the children of Sunapee (residents and visitors alike) will have a special place to gather, play, learn, laugh, and grow. We thank the community and the Town for their support and we are honored to have this wonderful opportunity to be a part of something really special – the development of a multi-use recreation destination in Sunapee.

We have enjoyed so much your website with photos, news and information of the pending Nona playground. Thanks, Brad, for producing it. And congratulations to all the Peirce family on your fundraising success and the completion of this project in honor of a beloved mom, wife – and our friend, Lynn. What an honor you have bestowed upon her and what a wonderful way to carry on her memory in your hearts! We are regrettably unable to attend the dedication on July 25, especially knowing how bitterwweet this occasion will be for you all, as you memoralize the 2nd anniversary of Lynn’s passing and celebrate her life once again as a family…We are so sorry not to be able to be a part of this gathering….
Again, congratulations!
